The Youth Empowering Parents program is an effective program that can be started in your community. Youth benefit by gaining 21st century skills through a unique leadership role, and adults/seniors benefit through free one-on-one tutoring. Workshop materials are available online and can be adapted according to the needs of individual groups.

About Youth Empowering Parents
Youth Empowering Parents, a Canadian charitable organization, transforms young people from “educated” to “educator.” It is premised on the phenomenon of children naturally teaching English, computers, and other skills to parents and grandparents at home, and has built a training program model whereby the teaching potential of any young person can be unlocked.

About our e-learning platform
This e-learning site has been developed for community organizations to set up their own YEP programs. It includes a training videos, quizzes, and downloadable PDFs to help plan and develop your programs. It also contains a youth tutor section, with quizzes and videos to help youth learn how to become an effective tutors. There is no cost to access these resources, but users of this e-learning site need an account to log-in.
